Asian hidden champion in the field of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) and automation industries

Our client is an Asian privately held group of companies which serves the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and automation industries with technologically outstanding products and services worldwide. Products and solutions connect devices with networks and clouds, enabling users (men and machines) to communicate fast and safe in all technical environments. The company has grown steadily over the last decades, increasing market share and financial success, respectively. It is working throughout the triad markets using own and distributors’ structures. The total revenue accounts for about 300m Euros, whereas 1/3 is gained in the European markets. The group wants to accelerate the growth, participating in the vast development of specific market segments, especially in Europe and Asia. The European HQ is located in Munich/Germany with affiliated structures in France and Great Britain. In the future, the German organization has to serve as a foothold in the industrial automation business including the multiple national research and development facilities and initiatives in this field. Today, the European structure comprises sales (distributors and key accounts), marketing, application engineering as well as a service/repair unit.

Ihre Aufgabe

Ensuring best in class sales support and customer satisfaction

The purpose of this position is to ensure best in class sales support and customer satisfaction (with operational and administrative services) in order to contribute to our client’s success. Your responsibility includes managing and developing the sales operations team (six multinational members) to support the sales functions in selling products to distributors and direct accounts (close collaboration with direct and indirect sales departments) and ensuring a smooth cooperation with the order processing team in HQ in Asia. You will also partner with sales leadership to implement technologies like CRM system, lead and opportunity management and other sales support instruments. Additionally, you will develop and implement new processes and procedures for effective team operations as well as identify and drive sales process improvements. Delivery of sales related reports, planning and budgeting figures in close cooperation with the finance & controlling team will also be part of your work. As a manager you are a leader and role model in teamwork, actively drive change, and you will coach and motivate your team (foster team spirit). Finally, you will extend the existing scope of the sales operations function within areas like internal sales or lead management.

Ihr Profil

Academically trained individual with commercial background

You are an academically trained individual (university degree preferably with commercial background) with 5+ years of relevant working experience and first team lead experience (people management and development). Your personality includes strong communication and coordination skills, structured, well-organized and proactive way of working and well-developed sense of service, whereby you can work under pressure. Your good judgement, integrity and accuracy, high sense of urgency and persistence to strive for continuous improvement, complement your personal profile. You own very good user skills in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and Access) and user skills in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and possibly in SAP. Your language skills in English are fluent (written and spoken). One additional major European language (German or French preferred) is required.
