    Our client is an independent manufacturer of electronic and mechatronic products with approx. 1,500 employees worldwide and an annual turnover of over € 300 million. The company is part of a leading, internationally established automotive supplier group in family ownership with over 20,000 employees, headquartered in Germany. Through successful utilization of synergy effects, the subsidiary has optimized their global resources, effectively promoting globalization in the automotive industry. Our client is looking to recruit a Vice President R&D to support further growth and business expansion.


    Global responsibility for Advanced Development, Product Management, Applications

    As a member of the global management team, the position holder will have global R&D responsibility for the departments Advanced Development, Product Management and Applications, as well as for R&D locations abroad with over 130 engineers in total, reporting directly to the division CEO. The role will focus on forecasting, directing and supervising all development and innovation efforts of the company, primarily to ensure the maintenance and expansion of a highly competitive product portfolio and innovation roadmap.

    Erfahrung und Kompetenzen

    The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and customer orientation, as well as significant experience in R&D and product management with a proven track record of success and performance. The position requires a university degree in a relevant discipline, such as electrical or mechanical engineering – an MBA or advanced doctorate degree is particularly desirable. You should provide broad automotive experience and have access to an extensive industry network, including to OEM/first-tier executive engineering management. Additionally, you should have at least 10 years of working experience in the automotive electronics sector in a senior/executive engineering management position within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
